IMS Career Mentorship Program 2024-2025

The IMS Career Mentorship Program (CMP) connects upper-year MSc and PhD students with experienced IMS alumni and faculty mentors in their desired career paths. Registration for the 2024-2025 program is now open!

Program Overview

Since its launch in 2021, the CMP has helped numerous students achieve their career goals, including:

  • Medical school admissions
  • Postdoctoral fellowships
  • Medical science liaison positions
  • Science communication roles
  • And many more!

Eligibility Requirements

You must be:

  • A 2nd year Master’s OR 3rd+ year PhD student
  • In good academic standing
  • Clear about your career direction and goals
  • Committed to active program participation

Mentee Responsibilities

  1. Monthly meetings with your assigned mentor (March-June 2025)
  2. Attendance at monthly workshops or networking events
  3. Participation in program evaluation feedback

  • Information Session: January 8, 2025 at 3:00 pm
  • Application Deadline: January 23, 2025
  • Mentor-Mentee Matching: Completed by end of February

How to Apply

  1. Submit your application through the online portal by January 23, 2025
  2. Attend the information session (recommended)
  3. Wait for matching results by the end of February
